10 November 2017   Comments Off on CW superhero crossover to introduce Citizen Cold

We finally know how Wentworth Miller will be involved in this year’s big superhero crossover event “Crisis on Earth-X.”

A new logline for the four-way crossover between Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl reveals that Earth-1’s mighty heroes will join forces with none other than Citizen Cold (Miller) to fight the Earth-X villains who attack Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris’ (Candice Patton) wedding.

For those who aren’t familiar with the comics, Citizen Cold is the doppelgänger of Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold, who was introduced in DC Comics’ universe and timeline-altering event Flashpoint. In the Flashpoint timeline in the comics — which was created when The Flash traveled back in time to stop his mother’s murder— Snart is a hero who goes by the name Captain Cold. At this point, however, it’s not clear from whence the Arrowverse’s take on Citizen Cold hails. Is it Earth-X, Earth-2, or somewhere else? Furthermore, does he come from the same place as The Ray (Russell Tovey)?

Read the official synopsis below:

Barry and Iris’s wedding brings the gang together, but things go awry when villains from Earth-X attack the ceremony. All of the superheroes band together with help from their super friends like Citizen Cold, The Ray, Felicity Smoak, Iris West and Alex Danvers to take on their most formidable villains yet. Earth’s mightiest heroes – Green Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and White Canary – lead their teams into battle to save the world.

Earlier this week, Miller confirmed on Instagram that his time in the Arrowverse was coming to an end in December as he recently wrapped up shooting on his final episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash.

The four-way crossover will air across two nights — Monday, Nov. 27 and Tuesday, Nov. 28 on The CW. For this crossover event, Arrow will air on a special night, Monday at 9 p.m. ET following Supergirl, while the other DC shows will remain in their regularly scheduled time periods.
